Sergio Almallo is the VP and Chief Digital Marketing Officer (CDMO) at AT&T Mexico since 2021, when he joined the company. He is responsible of the digital transformation of postpaid, prepaid, devices and entertainment. As CDMO, he also leads the brand and comercialization strategy, including advertising, sponsorships and customer life cycle.
Previously, Sergio was the Country Manager of Neoris Peru, leading the company to its digital transfomation and, before that, he was the General Manager of the nine newspapers of Comercio Group, where he led the digital transformation of the journalistic content in order to adapt it to the new media and reader’s demands. Throughout his career, he has held many leadership roles, gaining over 20 years of experience in business strategy, sales, marketing, innovation, and digital transformation.
He began his career at Telefonica and held management positions in Argentina, USA, Spain, Brazil, Peru, Colombia, and Ecuador, leading Marketing and Business Development Innovation. He is a Business Angel in LATAM for technology startups and business advisor of companies in this region, as well as in the USA and Europe. Also, he was professor and director of the Digital Transformation Master in UPC Peru.
Sergio has a bachelor’s degree in Marketing from the University of Business and Social Sciences in Buenos Aires, a MBA from the Management School of Piura University, and another MBA from the MIT. He also took graduate programs in Harvard Business School, IESE and Stanford.
